Platforms & Tools at 85 reflects the MT4/MT5/cTrader lineup plus proprietary options. Regulation at 85 is solid with FCA and CySEC. Trading Costs at 65 is below average due to the wider standard spreads and the cTrader account's $9/lot commission, which is higher than competitors.
Regulation & Safety
| Regulator | Tier | License | Entity | |-----------|------|---------|--------| | FCA (UK) | Tier 1 | 509956 | FxPro UK Limited | | CySEC (Cyprus) | Tier 2 | 078/07 | FxPro Financial Services Limited | | FSCA (South Africa) | Tier 2 | 45052 | FxPro Financial Services (Pty) Ltd | | SCB (Bahamas) | Tier 3 | SIA-F184 | FxPro Global Markets Limited | | FSA Seychelles | Tier 3 | SD120 | FxPro Global Markets (Seychelles) Ltd |
FCA and CySEC provide the core regulatory framework. International clients may be served through the Bahamas or Seychelles entities. 18 years of operating history and no major regulatory actions are positive signs.
Negative balance protection, segregated funds, and investor compensation (FSCS up to GBP 85,000 for UK clients, ICF up to EUR 20,000 for EU clients) are provided.
Trading Costs
Spreads
| Pair | Standard Avg. | Raw+ Avg. | |------|--------------|-----------| | EUR/USD | 1.40 pips | 0.00 pips + $7/lot | | GBP/USD | 1.80 pips | 0.40 pips + $7/lot | | USD/JPY | 1.40 pips | 0.30 pips + $7/lot |
Standard account spreads of 1.40 pips are on the wider side. The Raw+ account brings them down to raw levels, but the $7/lot commission is standard rather than competitive. The cTrader account charges $9/lot, which is $3 more than IC Markets' cTrader commission of $6.
Account Types
| Feature | Standard | Raw+ | Elite | cTrader | |---------|----------|------|-------|---------| | Min. Deposit | $100 | $100 | $30,000 | $100 | | Spread From | 1.20 pips | 0.00 pips | 0.00 pips | 0.00 pips | | Commission/Lot | $0 | $7.00 | $4.50 | $9.00 |
The Elite account ($30,000 minimum) offers the best rates at $4.50/lot commission, but the entry barrier is high. Most traders will use the Raw+ or Standard account.
Other Fees
- Inactivity fee: $15 after 6 months
- Deposit fees: Free
- Withdrawal fees: Free
The 6-month inactivity trigger is tighter than the 12-month industry standard.
Trading Platforms & Tools
FxPro's platform selection is broad: MT4, MT5, cTrader, FxPro Edge (web), and FxPro Trading Platform (mobile).
cTrader is a strong addition and makes FxPro one of the few brokers offering all three major MetaQuotes/Spotware platforms. The $9/lot commission dampens the appeal, though.
API trading available. VPS hosting for qualifying traders. No copy trading. No TradingView integration.
Pros & Cons

- Free deposits and withdrawals

- 18 years of operating history

Cons:

Final Verdict
FxPro is a reliable, well-regulated broker with good platform variety. The cTrader support is a plus, and the FCA/CySEC regulatory framework is trustworthy. But the higher cTrader commissions and average standard spreads make it harder to recommend when Pepperstone offers the same platforms with better pricing, and IC Markets charges $6/lot on cTrader versus FxPro's $9.
FxPro is a reasonable choice for EU/UK traders who value the combination of cTrader and strong regulation. For cost-sensitive traders, there are better options.
